When school is out, the unstructured time offers children in our community an opportunity to explore themselves, their talents, their world, and their interests outside of tests, learning mandates, and measured competencies.

EDGE Youth Camps provide children in our community with project-based explorations of broad themes and interests. In a community-centric, open and easy environment focused on learning and growing together.

CAMPS

All our camps focus on learning and development based on each individual child. We make every effort to group children within two year age groups. If enrolment is low in a camp we will blend age groups. We believe in learning communities that embrace the exceptionalities of every child and inspire respect and foundational learning models that build relationships between older and younger children to build confidence, connection and community.

They will learn concepts and consider how they interpret communication, interaction, connection and their environment.

Campers will explore the characteristics that make superheroes lovable, consider ‘I can attitude’, integrity, understanding, drive, courage, authenticity and bravery. All the things that make fictional characters amazing. Campers will combine their favorite characters, and their own selves to create their own superhero identity.

INNOVATION IN MOTION

In a time of abundance, how do we teach our children resourcefulness, problem-solving, build creativity and inspire imagination? Campers will expand their vision and perspectives to turn something old into something new. They might collect old scrabble tiles and turn them into coasters, art, a game, a meditative practice, see an image of something innovative in old glassware or a chipped plate. Campers will spend the week repurposing, creating and exploring their imagination. Something unique to each of us.
